The Oyster Festival is happening in the town of Amite during the 2026 Dixie Dash - $6,000 Added Money Barrel Race!!!

If you are traveling in from the interstate, I STRONGLY recommend all folks coming in for the The Dixie Dash, especially those in trucks and trailers, take the Arcola exit [Exit 50] to Highway 51 to avoid getting yourself stuck in the festival and parade activities.

If you are traveling in on highway 16 East, you will need to take a right before the tracks, travel 3 blocks then turn left to get on highway 51. If you have an alternate route other than this, take it!

Please tell everyone you know that is hauling in. As much as I’m sure yall want to join in on the festival and parade, having you and your horses stuck and missing your runs might damper the fun.
